Hatchery-origin Atlantic Salmon Acoustic Telemetry Tag Detections from the St. Regis and St. Lawrence Rivers, 2022-2025
September 9, 2026
This data release includes hatchery-origin juvenile Atlantic Salmon (age-1) acoustic telemetry tag detections from the St. Regis and St. Lawrence Rivers in association with a project to experimentally stock Atlantic salmon within the Lake Ontario watershed. Age-1 fish were surgically implanted with Innovasea V9T model acoustic telemetry tags and released in the Spring of 2022, 2023, and 2025. Acoustic telemetry receiver stations within the St. Regis and St. Lawrence Rivers recorded Atlantic Salmon movements within the watershed to determine post-stocking survival, distribution, and habitat use.
