High-resolution mapping survey data of nutrients and related water quality constituents in the San Francisco Bay Delta, Lake Oroville, and San Luis Reservoir at the landscape scale: 2015-2022
Broad-area, high-resolution, boat-based water quality mapping surveys of the San Francisco Bay, the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta), Lake Oroville, and San Luis Reservoir were conducted at various times between April 2015 and April 2022. Each survey was conducted over the course of a single day. The region covered included the east-west axis of the San Francisco Bay Delta from the Golden Gate Bridge to Rio Vista, CA on the Sacramento River; the Cache Slough Complete (CSC) in the north Delta; the Toe Drain from the CSC to the Yolo Bypass; from the I-80 bridge over the Sacramento River to Walnut Grove, CA; the San Joaquin River from the confluence with the Sacramento River to Mandeville Tip County Park; Franks Tract; Suisun and Montezuma Slough; Lake Oroville; and San Luis Reservoir. Data were collected at high speed to minimize the extent to which tidal currents obscure nutrient and phytoplankton distributions.
