Long Island Sound nitrogen and phosphorus SPARROW models, with model inputs and outputs, 2000-2020
This data release contains model files for simulating seasonal estimates of total nitrogen (N) and total phosphorus (P) loads from watersheds draining to the Long Island Sound using a dynamic SPARROW (SPAtially Referenced Regressions On Watershed attributes) model. Input data, output predictions including prediction uncertainty, model control files, and model source code are provided to document and run the model. Estimates of N and P are provided as total loads and as source-specific loads for understanding the relative contributions of different nutrient sources in the study area. A README file includes descriptions of the files and instructions for running the models. A data dictionary is included to describe input and output variables for each model. Additional details about the SPARROW modeling framework and output variables included in this data release are available in Schwarz and others (2006).
