Luminescence and Radiocarbon Data for the Little Salmon Fault Zone within the Southern Cascadia Subduction Zone
October 22, 2026
The Little Salmon Fault zone (LSF) is a principal upper-plate fault within the SCSZ that daylights approximately 18-22 km above the shallowly dipping megathrust interface at latitude ~40.5°N. This data release contains luminescence data from five samples and radiocarbon data from fifteen samples collected from a fault-perpendicular trench across the LSF. These samples, which produced ages between ~1.1 and 25 ka, were collected to model chronology of earthquake ruptures and characterize fault displacement parameters.
