Pennsylvania Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network Data Exploration Tool

August 15, 2022

The Pennsylvania Groundwater Monitoring Network (GWMN) is a cooperative effort between the U.S. Geological Survey Pennsylvania Water Science Center and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PaDEP) that samples ambient groundwater quality wells throughout the State. Data collection has occurred since 2015 for major ions, trace metals, nutrients, and organic compounds; most sites are sampled twice per year. The tool contains a map and a dropdown menu to select a desired constituent. A plot showing concentrations over time for that constituent is shown when a well is selected on the map.
