Statistical streamflow comparison of current (1990-2019) and historical (1950-79) 30-year periods for selected streams in New Jersey
The U.S. Geological Survey completed a study of selected continuous and partial-record streams in New Jersey for a historical period (1950-79) and a current period (1990-2019) in order to better understand potential streamflow trends over time. The outcomes of this project will support New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and other agencies in water-supply planning, waste load allocation decisions, and watershed plan evaluations. This data release provides various streamflow statistics including: 7Q10 (the lowest 7-day average flow that occurs, on average, once every 10 years), 1-day-low-flow monthly medians, September median for a historical period (1950-79), and current period (1990-2019). It also contains supplemental datasets for land use, precipitation, and water use.
