Elzada Clover smiles at the camera while sitting in the Wen on Bright Angel Creek in the Grand Canyon. In 1938, Elzada Clover and Lois Jotter became the first two non-native women to complete the journey through Grand Canyon by boat, about 70 years after John Wesley Powell’s expedition.
