Marconi Beach video camera 2 timex image
Detailed Description
Two video cameras are mounted on a bluff above Marconi Beach, Cape Cod National Seashore, Wellfleet, MA. Every half hour, the video cameras collect imagery for 10 minutes. This is the timex image, a time-averaged image of all frames which smooths away surface waves and determines the location of persistent wave-breaking (indicative of shallow sandbars). View looks east. [Larger version]
The work is being conducted under National Park Service permits CACO-2019-SCI-0021 and CACO-2020-SCI-0021.
