USGS Office of Tribal Relations (OTR) staff consists of three full-time personnel, the Head of OTR and two staff scientists, and USGS staff who serve collaterally as Regional Tribal Liaisons or Mission Area Tribal Relations Advisors.
The USGS and U.S. Department of the Interior uphold their trust responsibilities to foster the government-to-government relationship between the federal government and the federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes.
