Dr. Hailey Shanovich is a Biologist and Climate Adaptation Service Scientist for the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (SE CASC).

Dr. Hailey Shanovich is a Biologist and Climate Adaptation Service Scientist for the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (SE CASC). Her role is to deliver climate adaptation information and services relevant to decision making and planning to partners and trust-holders, including science synthesis and applying research methods to assess the effects of a changing world on fish, wildlife, and ecosystems. She is dedicated to ensuring climate and adaptation information is relevant to stakeholder needs, accessible, and actionable for effective management. Hailey also co-leads a working group for stakeholders in the Southeast focused on incorporating climate and adaptation information into their planning and decision-making. 

Previously, Hailey was an ORISE postdoctoral participant with the SE CASC, where she provided support for integrating climate and adaptation into Southeast state and territory wildlife action plan revisions, and helped to engage with partners to identify their needs in order to implement effective adaptation actions. She has also conducted research on disturbances to freshwater mussels, plant and insect genetics, and forest and agricultural ecosystem management.
