Lisa McBride is a biologist based in South Florida for the USGS Fort Collins Science Center researching invasive reptiles in the Greater Everglades Ecosystem.
Lisa McBride is a biologist stationed in South Florida researching the ecology and management of invasive reptiles such as the Burmese python and Argentine black and white tegu. She is the team lead for organizing and conducting field research of Burmese pythons in Big Cypress National Preserve. Her research roots took hold in her home state of New Mexico where she studied the impacts of habitat fragmentation on native reptile and amphibian species. She also has researched Green Anacondas in the Venezuelan Llanos where her passion for snake species took off. Her research interests include studying the ecology and biology of snake species but more focused on large constrictors such as the Burmese python and Green Anaconda.
