The primary mission of the Klamath Falls Field Station (KFFS) is to conduct rigorous scientific investigations into issues related to the management and recovery of threatened and endangered fish species.  We aim to communicate applied unbiased science in a timely manner so that is may be used to inform important water and fish management decisions as they are being made.

The Klamath Falls Field Station was officially established in 1999 to address fishery issues in the Klamath basin. Our research findings have long been considered authoritative by land use managers and water users in this area and are crucial to future USGS watershed research and modeling in the basin.
