Reminder: Upcoming Interruption to Landsat Data Processing and Distribution, Web Sites
Reminder: Maintenance planned for Saturday, July 16, 2022, will cause an extended interruption of Landsat data processing and data distribution portals. To prepare for this work, all Landsat data processing and data distribution systems will be taken offline during the afternoon (after 12:00 p.m. CDT) on Friday, July 15, 2022. USGS EROS Web Sites will also become unavailable.
As reported in a recent Headline, the upcoming weekend maintenance will require all data processing and data distribution portals to go offline the afternoon of Friday, July 15, 2022.
Access to Landsat data already acquired and processed to the Landsat commercial cloud before Friday afternoon will remain available during the weekend.
On Sunday July 17, efforts to bring systems back online will be coordinated to ensure systems are working nominally and operations can resume. It is expected that all Landsat data processing operations and data distribution systems will be fully available by 4:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, July 18. Web Sites may become available on Monday morning. Another notice will be posted on that day to provide an update about the projected uptime to keep users informed.
We apologize for the inconvenience this interruption may cause. Please contact USGS Customer Services with any questions or concerns about this announcement.
