August 9, 2023

On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, access to Landsat and other data stored in the USGS EROS archive will be unavailable from
6:00 am to 6:00 pm CDT for extended systems maintenance.

EarthExplorer and other USGS data access systems (such as GloVis, the Bulk Download Web Application (BDWA), Machine to Machine (M2M), HDDS Explorer and the EROS Science Processing Architecture (ESPA) On Demand Interface) will be affected. As maintenance completes, the systems will be brought back online, and data will again be available for searching and download.

Note: Direct access to Landsat data held in the commercial cloud will remain available during is maintenance period, however any downloads or other access points that require the USGS EROS Registration Service (ERS) to validate users will not be possible during this maintenance.

Follow-up notices will be posted if there are any changes to this maintenance timeframe. While News items will continue to be posted on the Landsat Missions Web Site, we also encourage you to sign up to receive notices from the Landsat Listserv: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/USDOIGS/signup/37173.

Please contact USGS EROS Customer Services with any questions about this announcement.
