Visualizing USGS Research

A presentation to the USGS Executive Leadership Team in March 2018 illustrating OSQI's inital efforts at using text mining, bibliometric, and visualization tools to visualize USGS research over time. The techniques can be used to differentiate the USGS's body of research from that of other federal entities, observe the evolution and direction of research over time, and demonstrate the impact and value of USGS research to stakeholders. This information can help the USGS plan, execute, and evaluate its research policy and performance.
