USGS National Wetlands Research Center Director Phil Turnipseed speaks with Congressional staffers about the work the NWRC does in the Atchafalaya Basin. During the 2011 flood, NWRC crews have undertaken ecological studies and sampling runs, as well as using LiDAR to map the effects of the flood on the Basin.
