Detailed Description
This photo shows the difference between the heavily scoured granitic rocks and the weathered appearance of the granitic rock above the wave splash zone. The black hat is resting on a piece of black metamorphic rock (a xenolith of amphibolite schist) within the surrounding (younger) crystalline granitic rock.
