Detailed Description

At Kehoe Beach, the Laird Sandstone (layered beds on right) rests nonconformably on Cretaceous granitic rocks (as exposed in the rock in the foreground and in the cliffs in the distant right). In the distant cliff face, the sandstone is offset by a high angle reverse fault, where the granitic rock has risen relative to the Laird Sandstone.
