Agave plants that may be used as a biofuel source

Agave plants being grown to test their potential use as a biofuel source. This experiment is led by Dr. Sarah Davis (University of Ohio) and is part of the dryland agricultural research program led by the U.S. Arid Land Agricultural Research Center. USGS is working with these collaborators to improve our understanding of the ecosystem consequences of this development (spring 2013).
