Bill Bromery

Bill Bromery was born on Januart 18, 1926 in Cumberland, Maryland. He served in WW2 as one of the famed Tuskegee airmen in the Italian theatre. He held a BS, cum aude, in mathematics from Howard University in DC and a PhD is Geology and Ocenographt from John Hopkins University that he earned in 1968. He was an Airborne Exploration Geophysicist at the USGS from 1948 to 1967. He served several positions at the University of MA including professor of geophyscs, chancellor, and Vice President of the University of Massachusetts. He retired in 2003 and passed away in 2013.
