The objective of the AIM strategy is to provide standardized monitoring for assessing natural resources on BLM public lands. Field methods are used and tested by multiple agencies, and for the riparian and wetland AIM, include soil characteristics, vegetation height, pH, and water source. The Pacific Northwest eDNA Laboratory is working with BLM staff on incorporating eDNA sampling into the AIM strategy.
