Historical photo shows the aftermath of a tsunami caused by an earthquake whose epicenter was in the Grand Banks offshore of Newfoundland, Canada. The disaster happened on November 18, 1929. Photo is most likely a commercial building on the Burin Peninsula. Photo from Natural Resources Canada, Earthquakes Canada web page titled, “The 1929 Magnitude 7.2 "Grand Banks" earthquake and tsunami.” Natural Resources Canada claims the source of the photograph came from Provincial Archives, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (PANL).
