Earthquake Locations from SLA/LTA versus Machine-Learning Model

two maps side-by-side with dots for earthquake locations

Detailed Description

Both images show earthquakes as dots on a world map. The earthquake locations on the left are those from the NEIC’s automatic SLA/LTA detection system, and those on the right are after the addition of the deep-learning model data. Less scatter in the locations on the right indicate more accurate earthquake locations.
