Detailed Description

This Landsat 8 image from September 2017 shows ginseng farms amidst browning hills and farmland in Heilongjiang province in northeastern China. Shade covers of purple and yellow, clearly visible in this image, are used over the fields because ginseng plants cannot tolerate direct sunlight.
