Granite dikes
Detailed Description
This view of part of Green Mountain near the Circle Creek Overlook shows examples of the younger, light-colored granite where it intrudes older dark-colored granite. Intrusive dikes are visible in the upper center of the image. The rocky outcrops and valley floor are host to a pinyon-juniper forest.
