The graph (top) shows correlation coefficients of the linear relationship between MODIS NDVI and a suite of cumulative precipitation values in pixels with native vegetation and no reported buffelgrass. Correlation coefficients are plotted on the Y axis, reflecting the strength of the relationship between MODIS NDVI and cumulative precipitation values. The X axis values correspond to the number of 8-day time periods over which precipitation was summed: 0 = current time period, 1 = previous time period, 2 = previous 2 time periods, etc. Line colors correspond to colors of vegetation types in the map at the bottom. The map shows the dominant SWreGAP vegetation types in each MODIS pixel footprint.
