Kanab Canyon, near mouth. Cliffs in the distance right and left are on the other side of the Colorado River. The boats are the Powell boats of the Second Expedition. 1872. "The water in 1872 was so high that it backed up this side canyon and the boats were rowed up to this position to find a quiet place away from the current of the river." Frederick S. Dellenbaugh.
