Hole-In-The-Wall

Detailed Description

A natural arch in the rhyolite at Hole-In-The-Rock Campground area. Table Mountain is in the distance; layers of tuff, ash, and lava flows gives the hillside a striped appearance. The Miocene age rocks are part of the Woods Mountains volcanic complex located in the central Mojave National Preserve (Theodore and others, 2007).
