Klamath River Dam Removal Map

Detailed Description

The Link River Diversion Dam remains in operation and was not part of the Klamath River dam removal project. This map shows the location of the Link River Diversion Dam along with the four hydroelectric dams that were removed from the Klamath River. Removal of the four dams marked a major milestone in restoring river connectivity and supporting ongoing restoration efforts throughout the basin.

Restoration work continues on approximately 2,200 acres of formerly submerged lands. Restoration crews remain active throughout the project area, monitoring vegetation establishment, controlling invasive species, and implementing additional restoration measures as needed. River and watershed recovery will continue to be monitored in the years ahead.
