Lake Mead - Blue Point Spring

Blue Point Spring is located near milepost 41 on the Northshore Road. A small perennial stream from the spring flows a short distance through foliage along the wash. California fan palm (or desert fan palm, Washingtonia filifera) is the only palm native to the Desert Southwest and can be found around springs, seeps, and oases at lower-elevations (Howard, 1992).
