Detailed Description
This view is looking down at the Powerhouse (generator facility) at the base of Hoover Dam. The Powerhouse facility covers about 10 acres, has 17 generators, and produces over 4 billion kilowatt hours per year. Roughly 56% of generated power is distributed to California, 25% to Nevada, and 19% to Arizona (U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, 2008).
