Lake Mead - sealed off old mines
Detailed Description
The National Park Service has been sealing off old mines to protect humans and wildlife. This grate over the mine entrance allows bats and other small animals to use the abandoned mine for shelter. This mine is located on the flank of Black Mountain along Nevada Highway 164 between the town of Searchlight and Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave.
