Making Streamflow flood measurements near Rock Valley Iowa

Making a streamflow measurement includes measuring the entire volume of water moving downstream. This can be challenging during a flood as streams rise out of their banks. Flood measurements often require measuring streamflow in overflow channels and over roads in addition to the main channel.
