Making Streamflow flood measurements near Rock Valley Iowa

Detailed Description
Making a streamflow measurement includes measuring the entire volume of water moving downstream. This can be challenging during a flood as streams rise out of their banks. Flood measurements often require measuring streamflow in overflow channels and over roads in addition to the main channel. Here we see Matt measuring the streamflow over the road near Rock Valley at the peak of the flood.
