Marine Seismic Collection - Additional information on the hydrogeologic framework can be obtained by using marine seismic-reflection measurements. This method consists of a seismic source, a hydrophone array, data collection platform, and research vessel. The method records changes in the subsurface materials beneath the sea floor using low frequency sound which reflects back to the hydrophone array and is displayed as seismic sections.
