Mosaic Canyon

Mosaic Canyon

Detailed Description

This close-up view of the western wall of the canyon shows chunks of Noonday Dolomite imbedded in a sandy matrix. This rock, called a breccia because the chunks are angular, probably formed when a debris flow deposited these materials in the lower canyon.
