Mud-rotary drilling - Long Island

(top) Mud rotary drilling of observation well N-14329 in Manhasset, New York.  This was the first well drilled for the project.  Hydrogeologic and borehole geophysical data were collected at this site.  (bottom) Mud rotary drilling of observation well N-14276 in Locust Valley, New York.  Data collected during drilling was used to further our understanding of local hydrogeology.  The well is sampled quarterly to serve as an outpost well or early warning to potential local saltwater intrusion.
