Passive samplers
Detailed Description
Three types of passive samplers used for tracking toxins in the Columbia River. 1) Semi-Permeable Membrane Device (SPMD) is samples liquid of fat-soluble organic compounds. 2) Polar Organic Compound Integrating Sampler (POCIS) samples water-soluble organic chemicals. 3) Solid-Phase Adsorption Toxin Tracker (SPATT) samples dissolved cyanotoxins associated with harmful algal blooms.
