(A) Multifocally, there are hemorrhages (arrowheads) admixed with bacteria (arrows) in the adipose tissue along the coronary groove of the heart. H&E stain. (B) Necrotic hepatocytes (*) and bacteria (arrows) are present in the liver. H&E stain.
