Possible Carbonate Cap of a Former Methane Seep

Image shows an unusual carbonate formation of concentric rings on the seafloor

Detailed Description

An unusual carbonate formation near a former methane seep. One possibility is that the carbonate eventually built up enough to plug the seep, and the methane began to disperse throughout the rest of the rock.
