Proportions of bottled water facilities using different water sources in U.S. states and selected territories
Detailed Description
A tile map of the U.S. showing percentages of water source types for bottled water facilities. For each state or territory, a stacked bar chart shows the percentage of facilities using sources categorized as public supply, combination, self-supply, or undetermined. Combination can be defined as a mix of sources. At the national scale, more than half of facilities use public supply sources, followed by self-supply, combination, and undetermined. State bottled water sourcing varies, where, for example, 67% of Vermont facilities use self-supply sources, 50% of Rhode Island facilities use a mix of sources, and 73% of Texas facilities use public supply sources.
