Sediment trap sits on the deck of the R/V Pelican

A sediment trap sits on the deck of the R/V Pelican after being retrieved from its anchor points at the bottom of the Gulf of America. Sediment and foraminifera are caught in the large area at the top of the funnel, then collected in a jar at the bottom of the funnel.
