Barry Middleton (left) and Ed Pfeifer (right) of the USGS Southwest Geographic Science Team engaged in field observations of Dall sheep in Denali National Park, Alaska, on July 27, 2009. The study employs satellite remote sensing and field observations to investigate the effect of variable and changing climate conditions on the abundance and nutritional quality of forage consumed by Dall sheep populations in Alaska.
