This three-dimensional view shows the bathymetry, or shape and depth, of the shoreface. The shoreface offshore of Seven Mile Island, NJ has a gentle gradient, which may be related to sediment supply or oceanographic conditions. Note that this image has a vertical exaggeration of 100.
