Students participating in the Upward Bound Summer Program through Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa, visited the USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center on June 18, 2024. Upward Bound is a federal program that provides first-generation college-bound high school students with academic support, mentoring, and career exploration. This ambitious and engaged group explored future career opportunities and learned about Earth observation and remote sensing.
