Scheelite, with the chemical formula CaWO₄, is an important source of the metal tungsten. Fun fact: this mineral glows bright blue under shortwave ultraviolet (UV) light!

Tungsten is a critical mineral used to create metals that are tough and last a long time, making them important for metalworking, mining equipment, and cutting tools. Tungsten is also used in many electronic devices (like computers and smartphones) and light bulbs.
