USGS Scientist Tom Byl leads high school students on a caving trip

The USGS has a partnership with Tennesee State University to engage diverse young people in science. One element of the partnership is the summer internships for high school students. Here scientist Tom Byl is taking four high school students from the Nashville area into Mammoth Caves to collect samples as part of their summer research experience. A TSU graduate student is also helping to mentor these young people.
