A sample of vanadinite. Vanadinite is one of the primary industrial sources of vanadium, an important element in alloys for automobile and jet engine parts. For instance, vanadium has been used together with aluminum to give the required strength in titanium alloys used in jet engines and high-speed airframes. Read more about vanadium here
