West Branch Pine Creek at Germania Station, PA( USGS 01548235, WQN-0456) has a drainage area of 59 square miles. The site is about 3 miles WSW of Galeton, PA. It is formerly one of about 124 water-quality sampling sites throughout Pennsylvania that constitutes Pennsylvania's Statewide Surface Water-Quality Monitoring Network (WQN), a cooperative program between Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the USGS. About one third of the sites are sampled every month, and the remaining sites are sample every-other month.
