Wind Energy Farm in Northern Iowa
Detailed Description
Iowa State Coop student Able Robles found himself amongst miles and miles of windfarms along the Northern Iowa highways. Wind Energy Facilities are becoming commonplace in places like Iowa, where topography and existing transmission lines are favorable for development of this form of renewable energy. Ongoing research at Iowa State University can provide information on ways to minimize the impact of this development on wildlife, such as birds and bats.
