Detailed Description

Similarly, growing the cover crop later into the spring (delayed termination) can result in greatly increased biomass due to warmer growing conditions, with corresponding increases in nutrient uptake, root development, and soil health benefits (same field pictured on March 15, left, and May 2, right).
